RESIDENT ARTIST: JOANNA ASHA BRONICKI
Asha is a contemporary visual artist who stayed at LABIRINTO ECLÉTICO from April to July 2026. Her practice combines intensive research, experimentation, photography, and highly demanding large-scale hyperrealistic drawing. After nearly a decade in the fashion industry, Asha turned fully toward fine art during the COVID-19 pandemic, finding in sacred imagery a profound way to connect ancient stories with modern times. Her works are devoted to reimagining sacred stories. During her residency, she completed a hyperrealist charcoal work measuring approximately one by two meters in two months, while simultaneously developing photographic references and research material for future pieces. Her works have been recognized by Chianciano Biennale, Kartina Mira Prize & Toolip Art Prize.

RESIDENCY INTERVIEW
At the end of her residency, we sat down for a conversation about her work, her artistic journey, and what drives her creative practice. We also reflected on her experience at Labirinto Eclético, from the peace and quiet that allowed her to focus deeply and work productively to the pleasure of cycling through the surrounding countryside.
