WHAT IS ART? [PERFORMANCE ]
Opening Night of Dr. Kristian Stuhl’s HEAVEN & HELL Light Room Concept Kris Kind & KAMIKATSE present: “What is Art?” March 13 2015 @ Cuntra LA KUNSTHURE, Graz, Austria
Shermin Voshmgir, aka KAMIKATSE, channels Dr. Kristian Stuhl, one of the many alter egos of Kris Kris Kind, during the opening night of Dr. Kristian Stuhl’s HEAVEN & HELL exhibition at Cuntra LA KUNSTHURE. The panel discussion revolved around the age-old question: “WHAT IS ART?” During the debate, Dr. Kristian Stuhl (she/he/whatever) declares that art is simply a commodity whose price is determined by market forces. This statement provokes one of the other panelists to such an extent that he storms off mid-discussion, stomping and shouting in protest—as you can see in the video below. 👇 The offended panelist subsequently published his own account of the incident, which you can read here.

Someone in the audience started recording once the discussion became heated, so the video captures only part of the debate.
ABOUT DR. KRISTIAN STUHL
Dr. Kristian Stuhl is an alter ego of Kris Kind. He studied at the world’s most prestigious universities, graduating summa cum laude from each of them. He obtained his doctorate at the age of eight months, and his first distinction was the Nobel Prize in Economic Sciences in 1969—at the tender age of twelve months. He is not only the CEO and Founder of Goldman Sachs, but also New York City altruist, philanthropist, certified do-gooder, co-founder of God, and widely acknowledged as the best banker in the world.
The doctoral economist and self-appointed emissary of the “Chicago School,” Dr. Kristian Stuhl articulates—with almost aggressive precision—the economic and socio-economic entanglements between markets and human beings.
With “Das Klo spült alles fort” (The toilet flushes everything away), the world-renowned economist and serial recipient of the Nobel Prize in Economics unveils a clandestine pathway into a previously undiscovered parallel universe of economic thought, where, through minimalist children’s drawings, he finally reveals how the world actually works.
His analyses land with the precision of sniper fire over the rooftops of Sodom and Gomorrah. In the financial arena, he competes exclusively in the super-heavyweight division, and his matches invariably end in a knockout—or the opponent’s voluntary exit from existence.

PHILOSOPHY
Banks give the people the money they printed themselves so that the people can give it back to the banks, so that it can be returned to the people, so that it can be returned to the banks, so that it can be returned to the people, so that it can be returned to the banks, so that it can be returned to the banks again, so that it can be returned to the people again, so that it can be returned to the banks again, so that it can be returned to the people, so that it can be returned to the banks, so that it can be returned to the banks again, so that it can be returned to the people again, so that it can be returned to the banks, so that it can be returned to the people, so that it can be returned to the banks, so that it can be returned to the banks again, so that it can be returned to the people again, so that it can be returned to the banks, so that it can be returned to the people, so that it can be returned to the banks. Banks receive vast amounts of interest for the money they lend. The people pay vast amounts of interest for the money they borrow. The money that originally belonged to the people now belongs to the banks—because the banks now own the people.
