I am the author of the book Token Economy, the founder of Token Kitchen and BlockchainHub Berlin. In the past I was the director of the Research Institute for Cryptoeconomics at the Vienna University of Economics which I also co-founded and a curator of the infamous TheDAO (Decentralized Investment Fund) back in 2016. I am currently setting up a data driven farm in Portugal with my partner where we investigate how to tokenize agricultural assets and sustainable ecosystem services such as soil quality or CO2 capture with the support of hardware wallets and sensor technology. I am Austrian, with Iranian roots, and now live in Portugal where I work on the intersection of technology, agriculture, art & social science.
My focus is to make technology accessible to a non-tech audience so that all those who use technology can also take part in the decision-making process of the technology they use. The Web3 and it’s tokenized applications can shift the dynamics of our socio-economic systems, which is why a good understanding of the technology and it’s applications is fundamental to the process of co-creating this new collective infrastructure and it’s applications.
